Hype hype hype.

This is all just commodity hardware.

The Chinese will come in and take over the hardware with their lean operations.

The real value is in the algorithms (ie - software).

Google and Facebook will be the only ones to take this technology to the bank.

Yes it works ... but I wouldn't recommend it for you :-). For you, I recommend two days of shallow learning per week, taken right after a meal.

Agreed very tough. A mind computer partnership more likely. Continued research at University is amazingly asking great question. Is there something beyond Algorithums? Western science approach takes a big complex problem breaks it into 100 pieces and solves each little bit. But you can not put the 100 pieces back to get the whole? The whole is not mechnical manipulation, at best we get appoximation.

Maybe .001% of intel even knows what the space is?

Gartner has "deep neural nets" at the height of inflated expectations...

This is a tough area and one where Intel is dabbling (we bought an AI company!) without the people, committed ecosystem partnerships and bench of expertise that it needs to make an impact.

GEORGETOWN univ just appointed a Hindu Chaplin to give Sermons in Sanskirt, and teach mediation. See new jobs already. Wish we had yoga classes @ intel.

Very hard area, MIT had a great article for example a toddler knows that if u turn a container with liquid side ways it will spill learns it very quickly computers not so quickly if ever needs rules Analyzing a picture or a frame is easy physics of multiple frame harder. Enviroment. Human will very quickly realize a reflection in a glass building. Computer vision not sure if it's a real red light or a reflection
