Thread regarding ITT Educational Services Inc. layoffs

Just in case there was any question

Just in case there was any question what ITT thinks about its students, they still have not made a statement. Just keeping the students they pretend to care about dangling in the air.

Good grief, is DOE going to have to send email to ITT-Tech students itself? Does DOE really have to babysit Kevin and Nicole?

Hmmmm, the DOE laid out requirements for this notice. Does anyone here think ITT-Tech met the minimum requirements? (Let alone provide useful link or two, such as link to DOE blog entry for ITT-Tech students.)

In letter DOE sent to Kevin Modany: "ITT Technical Institutes operating under the Indianapolis, IN and Spokane Valley, WA OPEIDs must provide all students with a notice disclosing the ACICS Directive and Continue Directive including the fact that ACICS accreditation standards state that the "Council determines that [the] institution is not in compliance with the Accreditation Criteria, and is unlikely to become in compliance."

To the person who is is representing ITT with his/her comments: Really? And why the company you are representing did not think about it before? Do you think you are talking to a bunch of stupid people? What a joke!!!

"Not true?" That letter says NOTHING! "we are evaluating", " we will have more information".

Oh you poor pathetic Carmel fool. YOU will be tossed away without a care as well.

Not true....students received the following via email this morning.

The U.S. Department of Education has recently imposed a series of new requirements and conditions on the ITT Technical Institutes, including imposing conditions on the institutions continued participation in federal student aid programs. This action follows a series of communication between ITT Tech and our accreditor, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.

We are evaluating the additional requirements, as well as all options available to us. We will have more information in the next several days.

In the interim, we are focusing on your needs and continuing to assist you this current academic quarter.

As always, our students remain our number one priority and we will send an update directly to your email inbox with further communication.

Regards,

ITT Technical Institute
