Thread regarding Alcoa Inc. layoffs

So many people on layoff. I was too, for 5 weeks. Electrician here, and open positions were available in the remainder of the plant after our smelter closed.......but did they choose to move us across the plant, NO! Some genius at corporate must have said "lay them off, I said it....now do it!" ONLY to be called back 5 weeks later because they realized skilled trades are a critical need and in short supply. WHAT DID THIS LAYOFF ACCOMPLISH? Well, I am here for now, but looking for another job because they showed me the love once.....not twice....that wont happen
