Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Layers and layers of un-necessary management

Yes, they just shredded off some managers and at the same time, they hired some temp managers. I don't understand what they are doing. Also, the managers who were just got demoted become team leads , so there are two team leads for some teams (about 7 or 8 team members/team). The jobs that the team leads do is check what is workable and what is not. That is it. After that, you can see them sleeping, or playing with their cell phones on the airplanes. If you see any one sleeping on the airplane, 99% of those are team leads. Further, there is not need of that many managers/team leaders. Imagine this, a group of 8-10 people has 1 to 2 team leaders and one manager, really? And a person being a manager for so long and can't move to any higher position, they will become senior manager, so they need to hire another manager to replace that person. That is how Boeing wastes the money. And when talking about cutting cost, the first thing that the management think of is laying off the people who are building the airplanes. The above is what all the Boeing employees observe every day at Boeing plan.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY ONE DIVISION ALONE AT BOEING NEEDS FOUR LAYERS OF HR MANAGERS??? YOU CAN GUESS THE DIVISION AND WITH THE CURRENT RATE OF LAYOFFS THEY WILL SOON BE EXTINCT. ARE HR PEOPLE UNDER THREAT OF LAYOFFS LIKE ALL NON-MANAGERS ARE?
