Hear those farmed out blades are scrap. Should've hired me back, I made quality parts on time everytime
Maybe they should stop spending $100k each month on their shuttle service.. Just sayin
Oh don't worry, I plan on doing my best to ask questions that will ensure that I'm not invited to another vertical slice....
a vertical slice meeting has been scheduled, please hand select some volunteers that will confirm we are happy, discard any other people chances of contributing to our exposure
The only thing the Furdirtbag has any interest in rescuing is his own butt and bonus. Whether he will actually be able to accomplish this remains to be seen.
Just to recap everything we talked about in todays strategy meeting. When they get here Mike Helms will do all the talking. The rest of you just answer with a yes or no should you be asked a question. It's to late in the game to establish hand or facial signals so if you don't know how to answer just roll your head in a circular motion the way those Indian guys do when making a deal. If your not certain how to do that there is are tutorials available and everyone should take some time to practice doing it in the mirror before coming in tomorrow.
Bubba (Pherdehirt) to the rescue? He can't manage his way to the restroom. He just sits around rubbing one off and counting his millions. Like Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles.
please spend the next two full days dusting and cleaning the plant, hide your T.V.s, turn off your stereos, remove your headphones, repaint all the yellow safety lines ,move the big pile of scrap and rework to non visible areas, get the flags up and decorate the receptionist office, cancel all manufacturing meetings and schedule a wine and dine group encounter with our best storytellers at some expensive local restaurant for the night
ATTENTION ALL ERIE MANAGERS. WE NEED TO HAVE A MEETING TODAY TO MAKE SURE WE ALL REHEARSE AND HAVE OUR STORY STRAIGHT FOR UPCOMING CORPORATE VISIT. MAKE CERTAIN TO BRING YOUR LIST OF NAMES FOR THOSE WE WANT TO THROW UNDER THE NEXT BUS.
Bubba to the rescue!!! He's the man. Will take care of all problems. The hero we need
time for some more non productive food feasts........LUNCH AND LEARN (can I take the extra leftovers home ?)
Hell with the customers. Don't bother me with your problems and customers. I haven't had my coffee yet and need to go into my office and stare at the wall for awhile. Just make sure my big fat paycheck is deposited into my account on time.
Erie needs (not) to rehire the elite fishing club members, those 5 frat boys decimated Erie morale and were so self involved that they didn't even recognize the damaged they caused across the manufacturing floor and office, the only positive that came out of the fishing club is that the out of country meatings unified all the non-worthy members in disgust which was just about everyone
A world class product line has been left in the hands of "Newbies". The woman running the plant operations started in HR went to stock room supervisor and within a span of 5 yrs is now running production. Problem is she can't distinguish the difference between a lathe or mill, grade 5 vs B7, viton vs buna, blade tip vs rotor to block vs rotor end, linearity vs repeatability and the list goes on and on. Must be overwhelming for her.
whom do you believe masterminded this effort to eliminate the most tenured employees ? As everyone on the corporate team wasn't this cold, callous and greedy, but someone had the clout to foster the decision, convince corporate this was the correct direction and execute the plan to discard those that had been directly involved with the contributions to the success of the company for over three decades
Hey friends. I was also a 35 year employee of MS, most likely categorized as a "dinosaur" by Houston Corporate, as many of our valued employees were who were shoved out the door and were basically told our "roles" were being eliminated, but in "reality speak", it more a matter that "we don't want or need for you to be working for FMC, so it's been real, and go on your way. As the other poster commented, I was working at MS when it was Smith Meter, Geosource, Moorco, and FMC, and what a great company it was to work for. Oil prices no doubt have been a huge factor, but as so man other posters have commented, it's far beyond that. Something is drastically wrong with the elimination of SO many senior tenure employees, and when you see some of the newly hired employees that have stepped into their roles, it really is, "are you kidding me?" I have several friends still employed at MS, and I sincerely hope that whether it is Emerson or some other company that buys our MS. Nothing at this time could be worse than FMC.
Did the same thing here in Texas, I had over 10 years and got laid off but the hires within the last few years are still there. Guess the core values of valuing people were just talk and not the walk
At this point the best thing that could happen for MS and all the people left in Erie is that Emerson takes it over. I was at the company 35 years before being eliminated last December. During that time the company went from Smith to Geosource to MOORCO then to FMC. The plant and people stayed in place the whole time and kept churning out the best PD meter in the world.
Different unit sold, not MS. Read the email again.
Blending and Transfer was sold not Measurement Solutions but likely the writing on the wall!
