Thread regarding ITT Educational Services Inc. layoffs

DW

ITT-Tech is spreading some rumor about "re-branding" campuses as branches of Daniel Webster College, and piggy-backing on the regional accreditation of the one existing main campus. Seriously?

Daniel Webster's accreditation is on the line. ITT-Tech Educational Services bought Daniel Webster's accreditation, along with its campus, in 2009. Unfortunately for ITT-Tech, Daniel Webster's accreditation is up for renewal this year, for the first time since ITT-Tech took over.

It is very possible the main Daniel Webster campus will face sanctions after its upcoming accreditation reviews. ITT-Tech Educational Services has a poor record with operating educational institutes, and will be closely scrutinized. The idea that Daniel Webster will not only survive intact, but be allowed to open up a bunch of branch campuses, is really far-fetched.

But then, a few years ago it seemed really far-fetched that ITT-Tech and CEO Modany would survive this long. ITT-Tech Institute is currently a sophisticated diploma mill, enabled by its ACICS accreditation mill. Whatever the intentions of executives were at one time, this business is now a waste of time and money.

For more information:

Daniel Webster's current accreditation -- regional accreditation through NEASC -- is up for a major review this fall (https://cihe.neasc.org/about-our-institutions/roster/daniel-webster-college)

Daniel Webster's program level accreditation -- through ABET -- is under review right now, with results to be mailed to ITT-Tech by end of August ( http://main.abet.org/aps/AccreditedProgramsDetails.aspx?OrganizationID=6242&ProgramIDs= ,http://www.abet.org/accreditation/get-accredited-2/decision-notification/)
