The original post is quite far off the mark. The merger is yet to take full hold and all the "cuts" are due to a reduced backlog. A business needs to balance incoming revenue with outgoing costs. This is the reason the cuts are coming. The current leadership are actually positioning the required capability in a great place for the merger and protecting FMC as well as they can as far as I can see. Unfortunately there have been a lot of casualties along the way, but anyone who thinks FMC leadership are not doing all they can to protect what's left of FMC prior to the merger going ahead are disconnected from the goings on at a corporate level. If your site has been impacted severely by the cuts, you need to look at what value you actually added to the business, as business logic would suggest, it was minimal. Good luck with your rank attitudes. I look forward to another good few years with a company that have developed me and many others over the past decade.

Yea, it's become apparent that this company is not concerned about any areas of importance. It's just a big media fest. Ahh the merger news... "breakthrough, alliance, execution, integration, blah blah blah"... Please reply with your favorite PC words.
And the crap about innovation being important. Where is this??? Someone please point out the innovations to me this year. Because I am swimming in so much freshly painted red tape (which I'm convinced is just a ploy to get us to quit while they find a reason to fire us) that I cannot see anything beneficial going on. And I have to micromanage my time with specific notes and tasks as if my manager doesn't know what the 3x people under him are doing on a day to day basis. I would have taken a government job if I had known FMC was going to turn into this. Bless all of those that are still working hard to fill the pockets of our over populated leadership, I am amongst you and hopefully someone has the gonads to make some changes around here.
