Thread regarding W.W. Grainger Inc. layoffs

Roanoke, Tx

Has anyone heard anything on DC936 located in Roanoke? People are looking for jobs hardcore and people are moving departments. Word on the street day shift manager is not doing well with employees telling all they need to stay until all work is off floor and complete. Then you have Felipe Garcia who is banging any girl that comes to Grainger, these upper management people somehow don't see this and his inability to be a good manager, he should work at a cell phone company because all he does is look down at his phone, and pick up trash, so I'm guessing he should also work as a garbage picker. Rob Flory acts like he doesn't know what is going on when clearly he does, his assis on the line. But everyone seems to want Felipe and Jennifer gone. Lets make it happen

I remember working at that location a while back. It used to be fun to work there. Raises weren't that bad, employees felt involved in everything and the company would go out of their way to give the spotlight to the employee, but then all of a sudden the company removed all that. It began with a change from the top and it worked its way down. The environment changed, everyone began choosing favorites, I mean there was probably favorites already it just showed more than before. A lot of good employees were let go. Heck, I guess if you sexually harass the opposite sex then your get praised and move on up! Well, that didn't last a long time the manager ended up getting fired for it. What I think is a little contradicting is those guys who worked nights. These people basically worked 7 days a week, busting their behinds , although the benefit of this is that they would get treated to dinner for coming in to help the company. From buddies who still work there say they told them they do not get that no more, it's bring your own lunch or bring none because we ain't feeding you. This company lives on pleasing the customer and their needs, but your own people you take rewards away from them. On top of that they have horrible managers. One of them I knew because he worked as a grade 5 and thought he was the big dog. Some are good, but with the changes that were made day and nights, its pretty leveled out. You have your good ones and you have your, well, excuse my words but b--ches. I can agree with a post that some managers used their power to scare employees or to use them for "services". I am glad I left when I did because Grainger is going to fall, for those still working there get ready or go down with the crooks!

It's all true but sad that grainger turning out this way. I truly think the people in upper management don't care about what's going on in DC 936 !!!

I can confirm every word is true from the statements made about the Grainger DC in Roanoke, Tx. I have moved on from the company due to the fact that the 3rd shift management and the HR lady are a secluded group that hold grudges and promote with favoritism in mind. They do nothing for the employees, absolutely zero enthusiasm and spirit within the team. The place is turning into a revolving door, cant hold onto any decent employees because of this lackluster excuse of management. Good luck to the company and all the individuals still working 3rd shift.

I have contacted everyone in DC and the word is spreading. People are goino to make phone calls on Felipe harassing people and his ethics.
