I can't believe the other day in the engineering meeting someone had the nerve to give recognition awards to 3 undeserving IWOCS engineers from the FMOG project a few months back. Another brilliant FMC idea to reward those individuals who continue to help tear the company apart from the inside out. I don't care what anyone says, they are not Installation Engineers by any means. No one knows the real truth and that's just how they want it. I witnessed it offshore with my own eyes. This is only positive confirmation that the system at FMC is "Jerry Rigged". Smoke and Mirrors. Just asked the customer how well the project went on the IWOCS side or ask if they want them for any future projects. Heck ask Anadarko and Exxon who finally got a clue and kicked them off their respective projects. They have 5 big systems just sitting outside at Gen Park with absolutely no work in sight but somehow they continue to be overworked and under paid. These guys are a complete joke. I'm not the only one that see this now. Management surely can't be that naïve. Maybe they are. This is absolute Ridiculousness. Great idea to group them together with the rest of us so you can mask and dilute their stupidity.

Do you ever notice they all type y'alls in their emails? What a purposely illiterate thing to do. I mean how many of these a--holes are even from Texas? If they are they are all hat and boots with no horse.
Look at all the H1B visas still roaming around too. Isn't there a US law about that? You can't employ those people over US citizens in the same role and you know they do.
Hopefully during the corruption investigation this gets brought to light as well.
Obviously some little GreenShitter Manager Wannabe!!!!!!
Who the f--- types "Y'alls"?
Amateurs and Idiots are entirely different. People like yourself have run this company into the ground! FMC has a PATHETIC reputation now for being late on projects and producing junk! Amateurs? That would be an excuse, you have none! Would LOVE to confront a PUNK like you!!
I love FMC and you guys making us look like amateurs with y'all's comments. If you have something against someone why not just be a man and go confront him? OR that's just tooooooo manly for you?????
Come on now stop this hate dogggg.
Yeah, I think a lot of them are on that MJ Milk!!!
I knew MJ ran the IWOCs group, that makes sense now.
You've had too much milk, MJ!!!
(insert Michael Jackson eating popcorn meme)
This is great. Keep it up guys. But can you do me a favor? Please put some sort of a pseudonym down for a name. And then stick with it. I'm pretty sure that the 2 of you who were bagging on the iwocs guys together accidentally turned on each other and are now threatening to fire each other. There's probably no rush as those who would stoop to these kind of antics are destined to be culled from the herd very soon. I mean, I think it's hilarious but let's stay on topic. No changing teams.
But can someone fill me in on where honesty came into all of this?
So we good with the rules now? Okay. Carry on.
You are history Buddy, see ya!!!
Fire me. That crap don't work here. It may work on someone who is scared of loosing their job, have you reached out to HR yet? Stop running from the truth. Own your f**k ups and move on, wait you never screwed up. Obviously this news has hurt someone in that group's feeling because honestly I'm not sure anyone outside that group would piss on you if you were on fire.
I'm testing you ChickenShit! If you name me I'll fire you!!!
I cant' let you say that everyone in the group is dishonest. That's simply not true. There are a couple of guys in that group that are "guilty by association" if you will. The guilty parties know who they are. I can get more specific......so don't test me. Just calling a spade a spade and there is nothing wrong with that.
Show me an honest person in that group and I’ll show you a damn good liar… Enough with the Core Value crap already. We'll see if that saves your position.
Look they sold the company to Technip and just haven't told anyone yet until the bosses are cashed out, set up and free and clear. Once those guys are in the clear you will see Technip come in and really clear house. Look at all of our layoffs and look at theirs. They haven't had many in comparison to scale.
I guess this Super Engineer position is threatened.
Remember your company's core values and stay focused on saving your position.
IpyZnSK-3gje trying to silence the truth. Bully and intimidate the opposition, FMC management 101.
Didn't say the "Super Engineer" judged people, only that he knew what he was doing, unlike the Manager and you, you Moron!
Oh who is this Super engineer that has the qualification to judge those people. Just do your job and stop worrying about everybody else.
Nostradamus ... You are dead on with your assessment of the situation. Very unfair and unfortunate for the victims although.
I believe what happened with good intentions was a direct effort to fulfill upcoming vacancies of expected retirees with a program labeled Succession Planning. Masses of energetic newbies were hired by management, trained by old seasoned employees, newbies promoted over their experienced trainers to key decision making positions very fast to retain them and when the market dropped the older seasoned employees were dumped and the less seasoned employees retained resulting in a company with an energetic self misdirected work force, does Techniquip really know what they are getting ? The old FMC reputation was solid, that reputation is debatable after all the seasoned employees were let go.
You're not alone Houston. Management did the exact same thing in Erie, PA. They eliminated all the experienced and talented people and kept the inexperience. It's apparent that the middle management in someway threatened by the senior level employees that clearly understand the product line and business better than they do. Erie must be at a ratio of a manager for every 3 or 4 productive workers by now.
Yeah you never want to make your boss feel threatened. At FMC if the customer likes you and you can read electrical and hydraulic schematics you are at risk.
FMC hired so many middle and upper managers about 10 years back and in between who have zero oil and gas experience at a technical level. A few PMs have no oil and gas experience and not even a degree. That's a disaster and I agree that superstar engineer they let go validates all said here.
The customers are going to eventually get involved as their projects fail. I've seen the close calls and that Bruce Jenner comment is spot on and funny I don't care who you are.
It all starts with the INCOMPETENT so called technical manager of that group of engineers. This guys keep an engineer who has been kicked off not one but two projects in the last 9 months by customers, but gets rid of one of FMC's best engineers a few months back and I honestly feel bad for that dude. Absolutely douche bag move. What sense does that make? There are many people still here know the real reason why - he was a threat!!!!
HaHa!!! So true, a bunch of reverse Caitlyn's!!!
Well that's about the most accurate and in depth description of those people in that group I've ever read.
I had the same exact experience. I'd do a random hair follicle test on all managers and like to see how that shook out if I was in charge.
Gears Road, not shears!
I worked at the shears Road machine shop until recently when I was laid off. I can personally vouch for the layer upon layer of INCOMPETENT people calling the shots there!!! No common sense, no machining aptitude, and NO BALLS to make tough decisions!!!! The most CHICKEN sh--, PC place I have ever worked!!!! Astronomical amount of weld rework after doing this for years supposedly! The tipping point has been reached, I'm sure it's all downhill from here! There is light at the end of the tunnel, but it's an oncoming train!!!
