Staples sales rep calls me said he can save us money over Quill. Seemed strange because Staples owns Quill so why would it matter if we switched to Staples. Having had prior dealings with the people in Framingham I was very guarded. Met with him and showed him the items we purchase from Quill. A week later he comes back and shows the prices for those items as lower than Quill. We sign up and I get my login credentials a week later. I log in and soon realize that other than those few items everything else is more expensive than Quill. Fortunately I didn't pay the invoice yet. Should have known not to trust them from my prior experience. We were a loyal Quill customer now we're going to take a look at buying from Office Depot.

Why don't they just have the best pricing instead of changing it upon request. Staples should be aware of what the competition is doing and then best them. I no longer do business with Staples. They were always sort of scammy.
Same thing happened here. I reached back out to my sales rep and he adjusted all the other prices. Apparently, they can change any price on the website then upload them consistently. He always changes pricing every time I email a new list. Its pretty awesome
this has been going on forever. All they do is steal business from each other. Who can beat who. I also susuggest posting this on The Staples Reddit site, they do monitor it actively.
It does show how desperate and shady Staples is.
Sorry, but this has nothing to do with layoff rumors. Why did you post this here?
Desperate times...
