Tillman welcomed her with open arms. He couldn't be happier with the changes blue jeans has made. He is behind all of her awful moves.

Deanna is incompetent and unqualified to lead a HR organization. She is not respected at Marathon or in her previous position at Newfield. As far as being a terrible person I don't know, but she certainly does not possess the ability to lead and build company pride or loyalty.

I was an HR Manager during the initial round of layoffs and I can assure you Deanna L. Jones could not care one bit about Marathon or its employees. She is truly a horrible person and I hope she cant sleep at night thinking about how much she screwed MRO up. Yes we probably needed a refresh after spinning off MPC but she took our culture and just destroyed it.

Any update on Blue Jeans status? Did the team who polices this sight report to Lee that it common knowledge that she is randomly at work and crack down on her attendance?

She's been working part time for over a year but paid full time so it seems anyway. If you go to the HR floor it echoes. It's empty most of the time. They show up for lunch which is always paid for by MRO. Tillman ought to have a report run on their comings and goings like he does for others.

It's disappointing that the HR Leader is so arrogant and out of touch but she has very little experience in the HR function or upstream. Whoever hired her ( I assume Tillman and Sult) should take responsibility and correct the debacle she has created and get rid of her. If she really is working only part time Is there a need for the role as an officer of the company? Maybe she should be re-calibrated and downgraded based on her performance.

Did you miss her at the grand opening of the posh 29th floor yesterday? How much did that cost us? I thought I worked for Google or Facebook for a minute.

She needs to be let go. However, Lee will never make this hapoen as it would put his 20% approval rating at risk.

Sounds like hurt feelings all round. Maybe you all can go to Oklahoma Department of Labor and fill out a Hurt Feelings complaint. They will give it the utmost attention. Now get back to work.

If you think these are the reasons she or JR is disliked you haven't been paying attention. She hadn't been at MRO for a year when she had 30+ year employees escorted out with security, not given time to collect their personal items, or say goodbye to their coworkers of many years. The TAP was reduced by 50% after the first round for anyone under 5 years, the least marketable employees now had even less of a chance in an oversaturated market to find employment. She forced this ridiculous Choose to Lead training on the company that cost the company millions and was a complete waste of time to anyone who was forced to attend. HR actually hired between layoffs, a slap in the face to other roles. The skillbuilder program was completely gutted. The VSPs were forced before the end of 2015 requiring extra taxation on those who volunteered. Her answer when asked? "We want to be on the right foot in 2016", which was complete nonsense with major reorgs happening 6 months into 2016. Her answers and tone in any of the all-hands meetings show she is completely out of touch with the employees and it comes off condescending. Why do we have ex-pat HR staff? You're really going to tell us you can't find qualified local employees? And finally, the blue jean policy which is just laughable.

Trust me, these comments are not from laid off employees or has anything to do with the rig activity or having a diversity organization. Part of leadership is setting an example and it requires being present at work.

Waaaaaah oil prices dropped and I got laid off waaaaah so I hate the VP of HR because she controls oil prices waaaaaah and so does the CEO waaaaaaah we should keep dozens of rigs and diversity team and enough engineers to drill the whole world even though we're not drilling at all waaaaaaah

The purpose of this website is to be anonymous. Don't care for the personal attacks and speculation but the fact is the HR VP spends 50% of her time on personal causes and working out on company time. Hires consultants from the UK which is an additional expense and hired her UK sidekick from Schulmberg who is a disaster. Her reputation at Newfield in the short time she was there was no better than it is at Marsthon. She is a bigger problem than the CFO.

You don't have to work in HR to be disgusted by the lack of people leadership at the highest levels in the company. Starting with the HR VP who sets the tone and shows up randomly.

Don't include over 55, black or American as one of the three words.

Leave her alone. She's off revising the pdp since last years was too long to review. This one will have 3 blanks where you can summarize in three words what you did this year. The real challenge will be that one of the blanks will be un-editable

To the HR mole who posted this: More brilliant stuff posted here by bitter and anonymous cowards

In response to another post, you posted another one at the same time, also as "anonymous." Why not tell us who YOU are. Go ahead, run it by your boss in HR to see if you can divulge your name. If not, don't criticize those who hide behind the same cloak of anonymity that you use.

She was at the city health department trying to get meds for her chlamydia. Caught it from JR at a beach party in North Carolina.

Don't tell Lee, he thinks JR is his.

She's probably renewing her visa. Marathon prides itself on filling mid / upper level posts with foreigners who are not only cheaper, but utterly dependent on Marathon to sponsor them to stay working in the USA. That it violates the intent of the law is irrelevant, as Lee wants to surround himself with yes men (just a term, all you yes ladies, please don't be offended) lest someone show the balls to have a differing opinion on any of his knuckle headed ideas...
