If the Reddit posting is legit, have no clue it is, then the new management is NO BETTER. Spending this kind of money on a executive stunt is ridiculous. What would have spent on this event, again if it really happened, should have spent on more labor in the stores. Sinking ship with leaks all around and if this story is really true expect NO changes with Moe, Larry and Curly. The Stooges live and they live at the executive level at Staples.

I worked there enough to see the apathy and dishonesty. Most people want to believe they are honest people but the nature of large corps is to dilute responsibility and breed apathy and guilt. call me a fool but I am not the one trapped there.
Few posts on here means nothing about whether or not workers at Staples care. If you judge participation of a company on a website such as layoff.com then you are either an idiot or a fool or maybe both.
True. Most employees feel defeated. Almost all of the management I know are looking for other positions
There is little reason for anyone to have any interest in Staples nowadays. There's nothing happening at Staples worth getting involved with or even discussing. This goes for both customers and employees. The only exception to this are the few people who are milking what's left and making money off the failure. As terrible as some of the upper management of this company is, the reality is that their horrific performance doesn't really impact anything of importance because it's Staples. Staples doesn't matter any longer. Nothing to be seen here.
the lack of responses on this board tell you the truth. Most workers are apathetic. I was at a startup company several years ago and as it was sinking, our message board was jammed with dozens of messages every day because people were engaged. Few workers at Staples care about Staples now.
