To all layed off Williams employees: it's a tough break. The way the layoffs were handled was one thing, giving hope of another check that may or may not have come was just cruel. I wish you all the best of luck, it is rough out there but don't give up hope. If the market is saturated in one area, maybe it's time for a change of scenery or career. The world is a big place folks...
To all current employees: Get Out Now. Williams is the most mis-managed company I personally have ever seen. Once you get much higher than a department manager, you are literally worthless and contribute nothing to the company. Unfortunately it seems that those individuals get to keep their jobs while the people doing the work get to stress. I was fortunate enough to leave by my own free will, best decision I ever made. I feel terrible for those left because I know the stress and worry that comes with working for Williams. My advice to you is the same, get out now. More layoffs are coming. Start applying and interviewing. Perhaps look at a new geographic area. Jobs are everywhere guys, maybe not in your immediate area, but you have to be willing to sacrifice to move forward. Good luck to all, unfortunately we all just picked the wrong horse to hitch our wagon to.
To all senior leadership: Go f*** yourselves.
