My friend in Milpitas Sandisk got 60 days notice.
Did anyone get 60 days notice?

What I don't understand is why WD continues to flog the "green, purple and blue garbage" (HDD) when it should be pushing the SSD out front, thereby offering it as a viable alternative. What was the point of the merger with HGST and the acquisition of SanDisk then? It's just so stupid.
I heard layoffs start on 8/24 and will last through 8/31. Good luck to everyone!
SanDisk Marlboro will get hit Wednesday 24 Aug. 2016.
August 26th is the day for Domestic US employees at HGST, WD and SanDisk.
SanDisk will take the brunt as they are compensated better than the other two.
Approximately 200+ employees will be impacted total.
Which campus?
WD? HGST? or San DIsk?

Not likely next week but the next layoff is indeed very close to the typical engineering day time frame. That's why company cancels (scale-back) this year's event.
Hopefully not either. That green, purple and blue garbage WD is pumping out is a disservice to data anywhere
