This isn't true in any sense. For sure more cuts to come in Irvine, but there are too many profitable teams here to get rid of them.
Rest assured. Layoffs and reduction in investment will be announced soon. Make no mistake the whole point of the acquisition was to make Broadcom 14% R&D and 4%SGA and that is what is being presented to the stockholders and at investment day and that is exactly why the stock is where it is at. If you ask the silly lying clueless director or VP they will say "NOT TRUE" as they are programmed to do so for the sake of their bonus. This reduction and cost cutting will go on for another 5 quarters and it will be massive and the R&D will get down to 14%.
