Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

b---s---. We come because MOST of us are still shareholders and whatever you are doing - you are screwing it up. We come when we see the stock price continue to drop, wondering WTF is going on and WHY you all aren't turning it around. If anything- Friday's closing price of $3.96, proves the problem wasn't those that were laid off. So it doesn't matter how many pep talks RDL gives you - CHK isn't performing as far at the market is concerned. So maybe you are the one that needs to stop trolling this site and get back to work.

I'm still here and it just reaffirms the fact that only the least productive and sub-standard performs where let go. I get so tired of all you miscreants shouting "all the best people where let go". That makes absolutely no sense at all. If you are not smart enough to see this as it is, then my case in point exactly. Do you actually believe that CHK has an obligation to pay sub-standard performers for sub-standard results? I am coming up on 11 years and have total job security because I have shown my skill set. CHK needs my skill set because I deliver results that would take 3 of you substandards to do and I do it in half the time. Instead of whining you should look at how you could better yourself which in turn benefits CHK. In all the years I have been here, I have developed technical workflows that make me invaluable. CHK needs me more than I need CHK. If I where to leave it would grind production to a halt and that is an understood as a fact.

If you are an upper management person, you are definitely part of the problem with that attitude. A lot of really good people got let go and you make it sound like everyone was a bitter, good for nothing employee??? Un-Fricking-Believable!!!!! That kind of raw arrogance is exactly why many in this industry hate us. No wonder potential buyers don't want our assets or want to purchase the company outright. The days of CHK being the King of Oklahoma are over forever. With management attitudes like that guy's, there is no hope. The King is dead!

How can the company continue to sell it's producing assets and expect the campus sheep to keep grazing while the good people that actually make money for the company continue to lose their jobs? Robbing Peter to pay Paul is a horrible business plan. I know the streets are paved with gold on campus but pride cometh before the fall. Cheers.
