Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

OK. What next now that CHK has sold Barnett? Surprised no one has posted yet.

Do all the computers, phones, vehicles, office stuff, all go with sale? Or will CHK leave Saddle with bare bones to work with?

I must say it is nice seeing everyone here this morning, a little humble. Not so arrogant. Not so smug, now that their meal

Ticket has been sold out from

Under them. Welcome to contractor life, s---ers!

Folks still interviewing in the Barnett. Not a real interview. Apparently another interview if they are interested after the meet and greet. Some will go. Some will stay. Generous CEO from Saddle group if u get hired. Hope Floats.

Glad it's so easy for some to watch change. Good for some. Not good for all. Life will continue for all w or w out Chk. Blessed were those who got severance pay one way or the other. Note if u get sold u ain't getting nothing from them except maybe a job w 30% give or take pay cut and standard sick pay and vacation.

It wasn't a sale at all. CHK had to pay to get out of contractual agreements which will, supposedly, save $$$ in the long run. The 170 or so employees will be offered jobs with Saddle or be out on the street. That's it.

That's pretty rich, coming from Captain Smug, himself. You clearly haven't worked here long enough to know that this company was built on the back on the Barnett Shale asset, thus the collective back of all of those men and women who just lost their "meal ticket." We can all be pleased to be rid of an aging asset that operates at a loss, but there is zero reason to be a jacka$$ about it.
