Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Has ACCSC grant accreditation to any Everest schools that are seeking accreditation or potentially hoping to transition from ACICS to ACCSC?

From the information that I'm hearing so far is all the Everest schools has failed the visit. In that case, this is not a good thing. What happens now? Seems like a very long process and now only that, how is ZEG going to bring in new programs with this hurdle over their heads? Especially now that Dave Hawn just announced his resignation. Is that a sign that something huge is about to happen?

Which campuses have been through an ACCSC site visit? There is nothing on accsc.org indicating any problems with Everest.

I know as a fact that WyoTech could not pass the requirements of ACCSC without cheating. Collision Refinishing has to use time and classes from Street Rod to meet the minimum requirements. Automotive steals time and classes from Chassis Fab, Light Duty Diesel and Heavy Diesel to meet the minimum requirements. We've been getting away with it for years. If a student takes just Automotive and ASM that student falls way short in instruction that is required from ACCSC for an accredited automotive course. That student would need to add on Chassis Fab and Light Duty Diesel to meet the requirements.

Therefore, ZEG will be unable to bring in new programs without an approval or if the school remains under ACICS accreditation body am I correct to make that assumption? Because ACICS is not in any kind of position to give any kind of approval to anyone given the status or situation that they're in.

If Everest campuses are failing their ACCSC visits, I'm not surprised. Not just as an Everest employee, but also as an ACCSC insider. You see, ACICS now has a very toxic reputation in the D.C. higher ed accreditation circles, and I've heard ACCSC staff comment that the rigor of their accreditation audits cannot be lax, or else they know they'll share in ACICS' fate (i.e. possible revoking of DoEd recognition).

In years pasts perhaps it may have been easier for a school like Everest to get ACCSC accreditation, but the tides have changed drastically in the last 2 years. ACCSC is not willing to go easy on their audit visits and risk their very continued existence.
