I was hoping SSDs would have significantly come down by now. But looking at a 2tb SSD and its still ridiculously expensive.

Intel will lose billions! Fab68 even with Chinese subsidies and tax can't compete. It is a cut throat business and intel fans are puny compared to the big commodity manufactures.
It will make tablets look like a little loss in comparison as the whole fab will need to be written off I two years and then add the operation loss from now till 2019, LOL
Expensive if you buy Intel. Look at Samsung. They are killing Intel in this market segment.
