Thread regarding Marathon Oil Corp. layoffs

Marathon = Titanic?

Heard all the folks jumping from the sinking ship of Marathon caused HR to panic today... Is that true?

Does anyone know why the EEOC, the Feds, the state, the county, SOME ENTITY, does not investigate why Marathon has so many foreigners on its payroll, ESPECIALLY in this market?

CEO, new EVP of Conventionals and HR VP all must go. NOW!!!

Also, there should be no more Brits / Scots in Houston than there are Americans in Aberdeen. And ANY VP of HR should be an American, certainly NOT CANADIAN!!!

Can someone please send the BOD this link? Wait, they're also just a rubber stamp, concerned about their full time jobs. Interlocking BODs should be outlawed, too, but that's another agenda.

Lots of people are going to jump ship once the industry turns and there are more opportunities.

No idea about HR, but just in the tower EF has lost a-- Manager, Reservoir Engineer, Drilling Specialist, and SS Tech. All resigned in the past 2 weeks, and there are more that will be leaving soon.

If the Marketing Director left, I bet the morale in that group skyrocketed soon after.

Who left in HR and EF? I just heard the Marketing Director went back to her previous employer 2 months ago and they have not named an sucessor or interim replacement. Why is everything so secretive?

4 people in HR have resigned in the last couple of weeks alone. BJ talks about how everyone should be in a new role and be uncomfortable so we all grow. Meanwhile, the reality is that different HR jobs require different skills and competencies that take time to hone. HR employees are not interchangeable, and people who already have valuable competencies are finding companies where they will be rewarded, even as BJ continues to favor her non-American sycophants. The question is not why people are quitting; it's why anyone competent is staying.

True that several top performers resigned in the last few days. Still not convinced that HR cares enough to panic. Remember what BJ once said (it's in a video)? If not, let me paraphrase: If you don't like where this train is heading, get off.

What folks?

The road to recovery is dark and difficult, they should stay here to see Lee turn this into the Good Ship Lollipop!

Sale next year or Lee is unemployed.
