Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Major reorg announcements coming next week

I hear that next week there will be announcements of some major reorgs and possibly info about further layoffs. This would be the case at least for PEG. Does anyone have more details?

The spending continues like drunken sailors are in charge if you ask me it won't end well. Could be 2017 though.

@1nxc - Isn't that what they tried to do wrapping Franklins around the tablet SoCs? And we all know how that went down ...

Heard that VPG will have follow up announcements from the major reorg last month. Really, things are so messed up there they could fire half the division without any major impact to on-going projects. Last couple of years have been all about empire-building, lots of fiefdoms abound. Instead of focusing on the job at hand and creating innovative graphics solutions. Intel GFX remains highly uncompetitive to say the least and on a downward trend in terms of performance against the competition.
