Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel is being chased out of the mobile market!

Forget 50bn devices. Intel addressable market is a few hundred million at most.

Mainly industrial applications like atms.

ATMs.. dang that will move the needle at the company, 1 billion and more for the ARMy and IoT makes it to ATMs and such.

For those at Intel watch the "numbers" not the growth rate, this was a company that was claimed to be on track to 100B, but as a mid 50 billion how much growth does IoT need to generate quarter over quarter from where it is to make a dent, LOL. Do the match if IoT could be as successful as an iPhone ramp, but remember it sells for 2 bucks or less. Nobody is going to run out and buy something with intel inside for even 10 bucks in the IoT spacce.

No IoT as is Modems and Memory are totally BK'd strategy.

New CEO and new strategy required for this company to SURVIVE, let alone grow!

"After two years of trying, there is little evidence Intel has achieved significant traction in wearable technology. Intel’s IoT strategy also appears to be to retrenching to industrial markets, support Maker developments, and leverage the data centers growth for cloud services and data analytics. The company’s efforts in consumer smart phones and smart wearables now appear to be severely damaged."

BK, is this your strategy for IoT? Failed without even starting ...
