Dozens, maybe hundreds of key employees were laid off or 'let go', in the last few weeks. Most of these people were exemplary employees with years of experience, and no performance issues. Many did have large retirement accounts. This does not, however, give a license to Visa to lay them off. Each of these layoffs reduces Visa's value and talent to run the respected areas efficiently and securely. The current direction under Rajat Taneja is one of hiring cheap, limited talent low cost workers from India, and several other near east, or related territories to his own benefit. Perhaps Rajat, despite being an inside trader and crook from his EA days. does not have a CLUE of Visa's values devalues the commitment to employees. Suggested reading for Rajat:
Through the years, I have greatly feared and sought to keep at bay the four beasts that inevitably devour their keeper – Ego, Envy, Avarice, and Ambition. In 1984, I severed all connections with business for a life of isolation and anonymity, convinced I was making a great bargain by trading money for time, position for liberty, and ego for contentment – that the beasts were securely caged. - Dee Hock
The Chaordic Commons provided a way to turn over the work to a broader community of effort and to let Dee step out of the limelight, back into his retirement. Its purpose was to develop, disseminate, and implement new concepts of organization that would result in more equitable sharing of power and wealth, improved health, and greater compatibility with the human spirit and biosphere. The organization ceased operations in 2005, with the website going dark in 2011
