Are any of the laid off people getting notice of Devon hiring for their previous position to get their old job back?

How can Devon lay off full time employees and have temps that have been there for two + yrs , doing they same job as those who were let go?
In Artesia they kept the contractors(MBF) let Devon employees go, and hired more contractors. Where is the attributes?
Do they really think a temp has the company's best interest at heart?
Gave one in Artesia a pretty decent promotion(chief inspector) yesterday, sickening !

Received official notice today that I'm not good enough to do my old job. Good to know.
They keep hiring inspectors, will not hire those who were laid off. Will not hire those who were laid off as inspectors?
Was told they will only hire from within. And they will not back fill the position.
They're rehiring cheaper and younger labor.
How much did Devon save by the layoffs? If they are still paying severance and now rehiring did they really save that much money ?

They are hiring college noobs. So far all the people that were let go dvn is giving a huge fu! The grunts that are still here are pretty pissed about this.
They would be dumb not to rehire. The person could go right into that job with out being trained. Would not have to backfill a position if hired within. And in some causes would not have to pay out full severance amount.

My Manager told our group that they would not ever hire back any of the employees that were laid off!
HR will not admit this, but they will not hire back those let go. Someone ask them and see what you hear.
I applied for my old job back. We will see what comes of it. Wondering if I even stand a chance being I could go right back or if they would look me over so they would not look like they were wrong.
