It is a skill you must learn, do your best, take your brakes, eat lunch, go home. The second you leave the building forget work 100%. It is do often the most conscience and hardest working people get dressed out. It's part of life. It is on you to be able to be satisfied you have done your best and to not let your job get in the way of you life. Sometimes it comes with age and experience, but it is never worth it. I feel bad for you. We have a tech kid who works his butt off and doesn't sleep at night worried about work. I just do my best. Then leave it behind. It took 40 years in the work force to be able to do it. Good luck, but it's on you

Hope you get your money, but in truth you could of quit anytime..the stress is high when things are out of control. We care too much for the company and forget how much stress we are under. Then crash. I wish I could say it's worth the loyalty, but sadly I can not. It's only a paycheck and you can get that anywhere. Move on, there is something better out there for you.

"Former manager" got fired after a pip. True employees stay and give it 100% all the time everyday. The way everything is run now, giving 100% and truly caring can and will cost you you're health due to the fact that corporate really does NOT care about its people. Do more for less. Run yourself down because you care, get the impossible done with little as possible. How far do you really think this can go on for? I guess it will go on untill your doctor says......"you are out". So caring and taking pride in your job means NOTHING when you are dead from stroking out on the sales floor. Take care of yourself first. Corporate does not care about anyone besides money. You have (most likely) been replaced by now..they no longer care about you. You are now a liability.

Stress can kill. Everyone knows this. If the stores are staffed, run properly it's a breeze and actually be fun. Working for stapkes now is nothing but stress and aggravating. No help, one person does the job for three now or more. It's bad for your health. Bad environment, bad senior management. No one wants to work here anymore. It's all falling apart due to corporate and lining the pockets. Hope you win your settlement shoot for the highest amount you can think of, good luck

Sounds like the stress and demands did a number on you. I have seen this many times. You will recover as long as you don't go back and then make it worse. Dr. Says you are out, stay out. Definitely stay out. You can find another job, you only get 1 life. Stay well.

Give yourself 6 months to get the stress of staples out of your brain. Meanwhile I hope you have long term disability. Go capitalize on what you contributed. And when you speak to disability remember....your doctor said you are unable to do do your job due to stress related work. go collect unemployment. You will win the case. First you will use all your accrued vacation time/sick/ personal. Then short term kicks in. Please remember to call and report that you are out on disability. I'm sure your boss won't tell you that. It's not easy and can be just a frustrating to deal with the disability insurance and h.r. but it's worth it. Good luck and keep us all posted.
