Hello, I have an offer from An Apple hardware team, and am wondering how the work culture is. I have heard some horror stories about work life balance, is it really true? Also how is the pay package? I need to relocate my family to Bay Area in order to take this offer....hence wondering if it is really worth it.

Apple salary is average no google like perks
Lots of people trying to be hip and trendy but the place is dictatorial period. Can't do anything but follow orders from the mothership. Might as well not have a brain and just robots outside of infinite loop.
Think - work/career balance. people don't care 'bout life anymore.
Apple has always been a bully but this company is in trouble and they will have to layoff to keep their investors happy. They don't care about their employees. Where's the innovation? There is none. They have been riding their wave of success and that my friend is coming to and end. They pay a little more, so what, it's not worth it.
not worth at all. Expensive houses and no work/life balance.
Apple produce quality product. Ppl are working round the clock, almost 24hs on standby. Pretty fast pace. Have to, you need such a team to produce that kind of product.
Don't expect work life balance in apple.
Forget work life balance. Work is so-so in hardware, repeating and uninteresting. Very agressive managment and work schedule.
