Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

our group of 9 developers in San Carlos that was hired as contractors was fired without any warning just 2 months into the project.

We were hired by a VP who had suddenly quit 3 days after our project start. A few weeks after, the Ptoduct Owner left TD. Newly inexperienced director, with zero knowledge about Agile was pushed by the Sr. VP to take over the responsibility of the previous VP. His micromanaging and aggressive style, caused the teams to reject him. Avoiding any transparency to company's changes and cooperating only with a mole, our double-agent PM, in our group he kept everyone in the dark until the last day of the sudden termination. Shame on TD for its unprofessional conduct. What a horrible experience at every level.

Stab-You-In-The-Back Managers, treatment of Contractors is horrendous. No wonder they have so many rotating door type ads circulating constantly!

Teradata ? ethics? What a joke. The only ethics I have seen from Teradata is the stupid online training the employee's have to take. The first five years of Teradata I spent with a manager that would call me all sorts of name's. When I was sick of it I went to his boss and that was a mistake cause I got treated even worse. I move on to a different department and that wasn't any better. Poor management is a plague that run wild through the ranks.

New hiring director was such a horrible person that he din't have the guts to terminate us by saying front of us. Worst work culture. Worst full time people worked with. Even a PM(who go hired with us) was involved in this conspiracy.

Knuckleheads become VPs who lack empathy and want fast results by pushing. They behave differently with fulltimers and contractors. Had quite a blow working with Teradata. It clearly show they lack work culture and ethics in the Teradata.
