Tulsa moving to Stephenville? MS layoff next two weeks? More sites shutting down? Sites not being restocked with product? All stocking reorder points and safety stock being set to ZERO with no explanations?

Tulsa moving to Stephenville? Do you even know what you are taking about and how the organization is structures? Tulsa office has been closed for months. Sales and customer service have desks at a Fluid Control office in OKC. There is nothing to move to Stephenville. Longview isn't going anywhere (for now atleast) and Odessa will be moving to the new SIS Supercenter. Get your facts straight before you start sayin crap just to stir up rumors.

How well did the investments in new people, time, property and cash in succession planning work out ? Only two of the large lot of new hires and prior trainees are still employed here, the rest were let go or wisely left on their own.

That's easy enough to fix, just manufacture everything in India. Excuse me ... politically correct term is low cost countries.

Let's not forget how successful that orifice plate project was. Scrap yards in Erie made a fortune on high quality steel ....

Face the facts people the only products MS offers with a competitive advantage over the competition are the larger PD meters (8" thru 16") and the AccuLoad. Everything else has such low margins or loses money that they aren't worth manufacturing. If it weren't for the large PD's and AccuLoads that business would have been belly up 20 years ago. Everything else they have tried over the years to generate business like the Genesis Truck Package and S Mass have been a complete disaster.

Unfortunately Mr. Pferdehirt does not appreciate the product line as he pretty much indicated at the all employee meeting about a year and a half ago. Sounded to me then that he wanted only a few select meter options available. Once again, doesn't matter what the customer(s) appreciate or need for that matter. If the product line and configurations are limited, NOBODY will want MS.

Would be nice if a company like Enbridge bought MS. They know and appreciate the product line provided by MS

How about measurement solutions system integration in Corpus Christi and Norway? Nobody talks about it but a lot of layoffs happenned at those places. I think managers in Houston are choosing next bloodbath candidates for August or September 1st layoffs like last year.

SIS in Houston said MS in Odessa, Longview, and Tulsa, Ok will be closing. Remote sites are not being restocked because of that reason. We saw the writing on the wall months ago when talks of the Technip merger.
