As a former employee, I'll be the first to say, good riddance to bad rubbish. It was the biggest trap I've ever known in the oil patch, and that's saying something! Even admittedly sh--ty service companies are up front with their being a piece of sh--. APC will say they are the best and care for their own and their community. But when when it's time to flex those "value" they piss down their leg. Bonus structure was laughable compared to other companies, merit increases were almost offensive and the root cause of most of it, FOREMAN, I cannot believe the scum bags that are at the middle management helm, at least the Rockies region bastards. I don't want setback rules in Colorado, but I'd be lying if I said a little part of me didn't want it to pass, if only it meant the f--- faces that run Platteville could get run off. Pricks!
Also remember that those kept on staff are the most experienced, knowledgeable, and most qualified to do their jobs or manage, and the others laid off in adherence to core values. This provides for great depth of expertise among current employees, along with strong core values and trust, all strengthening the company.

I wouldn't worry too much about layoffs. Upper management said no layoffs before the first round of layoffs. Everything is fine. Remember 'Open Communication ' ?
