Online will survive as long as Zenith is tied to the lease...it doesn't matter how many program offerings they have or don't have...the plan the whole time was to get as many student unqualified to have their loans dismissed.

So if it is accreditation and placements ONLINE is next up.

With only 2-3 majors how long can they last. One more quarter max

Well there are some FACTS...numbers don't lie (only the person reporting them...cough to what was called a placement) But come on now...if Orlando South was doing that stellar they would have kept them open. Oh wait a minute...the plan was never to make this successful...that is why they are shuttering the doors. I would be willing to bet money that they see their exit ticket coming just like Brandon and Lakeland...anyone know when the lease at Orlando South comes due? How about anyone over they at Online...how much time is left on that lease in Net Park? One smart business decision...if they have to pay the rent they might as well enroll just enough students to cover the salaries of the few workers that are left.

Orlando is being closed due to the failure of online. Online has a retention and placement rate in the mid to high 30 range. The ground school was placed on show cause due to onlines pathetic performance. The ground school has no oversight of online's performance, but must assume all responsibility for outcomes due to the OPEID relationship. If you remove online from the equation, Orlando achieves all outcomes.

I have spent many days at the Tampa online center. No sense of urgency or plan. Useless employees standing around with a non productive culture. Zenith closed Orlando because online is a cash cow. However, Zenith has no plan in place to improve online outcomes. LB challeged that fact, was released 2 weeks later. Pathetic excuse for so called senior leadership. MO and KT should be camped out in Tampa, but they are not.

The right decision to make, the student centric decision, would have been to close online. In addition, other online entities place and retain students. The same students that Zenith has. This is an internal problem that centers on failed plans of hope, poor leadership and poor hiring with non existant performance management.

oooooohhhhhhh....someone is a little defensive now aren't they? FACT! Thanks for confirming my point while trying to put me in my place. Like I stated...Online has NEVER been able to perform...did I blame you personally...no I did not! Did I blame Career Services...no I did not! Absolutely nothing I posted blames Career Services for anything. Is what I said not fact? Yes it is! Online got bounced around from OPEID to OPEID to keep your assemployed and money flowing for CCi. We were all given extremely challenging obstacles and budgets that had to be met for the Corporation that we chose to go to daily. So put your big pants on and own it. But like Career Services has always been a whinny department that has excuses for everything that they cant control. Did Admissions have a say in what leads they got...no! Could Academics control what type of student as admitted...no they could not! Could financial aid pick and choose who they funded...no they could not! We all worked with what we were given.

30 schools down, 26 more to go. February of 2015 ECMC completed the purchase of 56 schools from Corinthian Colleges with the help and partnership of the Department of Education. With yesterdays announced teach out that brings the total of schools closed by ECMC/Zenith Education Group to 30 leaving 26 schools remaining. There is discussions going on about the possibility of two to five more schools announcing teach outs or mergers coming in late August or September. I personally will continue to collect a pay check while I search for a better opportunity because there isn't a future with this company. The more I witness the more I realize that there never was a plan to keep these schools open.

That's amazing that you think online career services played a part in the company enrolling students in areas that they knew didn't have viable jobs. 60% of the population resides in rural areas... The fact of the matter is that the company was greedy and over enrolled extremely hard to place grads in your school. Don't blame the online employees, blame the leadership that didn't plug the enrollments. Question... How many people did you have to place in states that the school can't enroll into or for the most part don't accept everest degrees as valid? So when you state FACTS, have them all in line.

I think it is so sad that South Orlando is closing. I worked at that campus and we always made our numbers. It really doesn't make sense that online's lack of accountability could ruin so many good peoples careers. Many of which I worked with.

Online has never been able to perform when it comes to delivering acceptable placement and default rates...FACT! For many years CCi had to bounce online around to the strongest OPEID numbers in Florida to remain compliant and the funnel full of Federal Funds. Having been a Director and one of the ground campuses me and my team carried that burden for several years. But anyone who is still drinking that koolaid and thinking that the plans are to keep these schools open you have been extremely bamboozled...for those of you sitting around collecting your paychecks carry on if that is what you wish. But these announcements for "teach-out" are going to continue to happen until the operations have been wound down and the partnership with Zenith and the DOE mitigate the potential refunds of title iv they faced with the demise of CCi.

Accusation my ass....I lost my job because online missed their placement and completion rates which when added to our numbers brought us below and caused us to be on probation with ACICS which is why we are teaching out. We made our placement and completion rates....fact. The paper they gave us even said this is why. So if your from online, enjoy your job, because you were unable to do your job; we lost ours. Not an accusation.....its a fact. So sleep tight Tampa online; while we are out looking for a job. Another amazing fact, we are tracking to hit 60+% again in both placement and completion and yet again online is not. So no accusation only fact!

That's a hell of an accusation... Help me understand how online is responsible for your campus closing. With online aside, did your campus meet all of its benchmarks?

Sam was here today and let some folks go and announced that we are being taught out. We saw it coming because of online getting us on probation with ACICS. Sam tried spinning it, but we all know why we are closing. I feel bad for Sam, he is having to do all their dirty work before they kick him to the curb. He actually got choked up a few times, doesn't make any sense.
