Supposedly a closure list by the end of Q2 and another in Q4
What store were you at that got whammied?
Our store got whammied on March. We where told the lease was up, yet 3 and a half months later the "Visit Staples on line" sign hangs on the building and the new lessee can not start renovations, waiting for the lease to expire. Gee, you think we got lied to?
I'm not a barrier, I left last year.
I'm making 25% more and in a positive place.
With the recent changes to the top "leadership", another mass layoff will not be a topic of discussion or at least common knowledge for a little while. Shrira has been talking about "breaking down the barriers" but there has been no talk of accepting responsibility (herself and the rest of the "leadership" group) and fixing what is truly ailing this company. No talk of how the "leadership" is completely to blame for horrific decision-making and terrible practices. No talk of being true leaders instead of intimating the field into executing a very long list of absurd directions.
Perhaps the "barriers" Shira is referring to is YOU. Maybe she believes that all the failure, poor performance and negativity, all come from you and she must "break down those barriers".
So, while the next mass layoff is not anything you'll hear of immediately, prepare yourselves because the layoffs/firings are coming and they will most likely be aimed at all of you "barriers".
