Thread regarding Williams Cos. layoffs

Salt Lake City?

Any Williams pipeline layoffs due in Salt Lake City after the ETE court verdict? All one one hears about is further layoffs in Tulsa and Houston.

Overall the Wiliams Salt Lake City "nest" - Is still, seriously a Ron Popeil analogy of the absolute truth. Managerial leadership examples of corporate BULLSHIT at it's worst - ongoing entitlement which is truly reminiscent of the multiple layerd management style of the BS rapid-fire style infomercials at their worst. Perceived "power teams?"- regurgitating costly bullshit that IS not working". We watch, we witness and we learn.

All joking aside, SLC 's practice of "utilizing" an overlapping glut of multilayer "players" of departmental managers, performing essentially the same duties normally assigned to ONE capable departmental manager , needs to be addressed. The current practice of SLC is laughable, leads to senseless confusion and a lack of fiscal corporate results. No more "it was the other guy" mentality. Effective, organized and well within the successful template utilized by efficient peers in today's industry. Welcome to the real world of efficiency, savings and accountability.

Ron Popeil is still alive and in his eighties. After hiring him to drop in at SLC to check in on the current success of "their version" of Super High Intensity Training - otherwise known as S.H.I.T., maybe Popeil would be considered a perfect candidate for Alan to bringi forward into the inner workings of the Williams corporate boardroom in order to fill at least one of the newly "vacated" positions and more importantly provide proof of the new vitality, leadership and wealth of key knowledge to be utilized as a springboard for the inevitable (can you all say spin?) and revamped version(s) of Williams latest "new strategic website initiatives" and forward revamped corporate culture. The last several versions apparently didn't impress anyone . Welcome aboard Ron!

Maybe Mr. Popeil (not sure if he is even still alive) could teach SLC some additional Super High Intensity Training - S.H.I.T?

At least everyone pretty much knew in advance exactly what kind of BS (no surprises ) products, 'old Ron Popeil was selling - more useless crap. Maybe he would have settled into the SLC groove just fine!

SLC reminds me of the old Ron Popeil rapid-fire style infomercials - selling costly bullshit that does not work.

, every time there is a safety incident it costs a lot of money, not to mention the pain inflicted and poor pr that comes out of it. don't buy into the excuse we have insurance, the rates will be raised. It only cost 69 million for the lng facility, it is not a good thing

anyway you look at. The safety coin is not the answer.

SLC is full to the hilt with Director's and an over abandondance of managers (mostly at least three in the same department) virtually doing the same thing that one departmental manager could effectively do. I'm sure their main priority will be keeping that potential area for Williams to save an overall significant amount of money and confusion, their little secret. Keep your heads low SLC, you would be a goldmine for a efficiency firm to clean house.

It appears SLC is particularly good at ducking and jiving - for now at least.

Organized and fiscally responsible aren't exactly Williams forte.

The also have multiple layers of management (in the SAME department) literally doing what ONE manager would be expected to deliver at an organized and fiscally responsible corporate organization.

Their SLC "incident investigation teams" must suck. Williams has one of the worst "accident" (sh-- blowing up repeatedly) records in the pipeline industry.

SLC is where the incident investigation teams are based, ready for the next explosion.
