[POLL Quality] - Making one solid INTEL FLM using INTEL internal processes

All of us know, that some of INTEL ICs would like to become managers (life dream). There are processes defined on the way (I personally passed them in order to be a manager).

I will not sink/go to details, since most of us here know (more/less) how to become INTEL manager. I am asking about quality of this processes. 7 grade to mark them:

[1] Excellent (Outstanding)

[2] Very Good (EE SSL1)

[3] Good (S SSL2)

[4] Neutral (S SSL3)

[5] Bad (S SSL4)

[6] Very Bad (S SSL5)

[7] Catastrophic (IR)

Please, be my guests, make my day! ;-)

Funny that in FSM, no experience is necessary to become an FLM. This is the root cause why this line of management is SO pathetic. All FLM are basically promoted (ie asked, or demanded) to take an FLM role. The person asked are usually from the engineering ranks and have no people skills but are expected to develop them. From my experience, these FLMs end up doing a horrible job at this position because they do not have the skills necessary to be successful.

It is mostly between 5 -7. What works the most is the network and being in good books. Quality and other attributes matter for sh-- if the hiring manager decides to hire some one close. It works this way in my country at least.
