Did people that got the ISP in CA get paid out for unused vacation or sabbatical?

Did you really expect a major corporation to voluntarily pay millions of dollars that it isn't required to buy law? On top of the already package? And when they don't, are they disrespecting you? Come on people, this is what strong labor laws are for. Such as we have in California.
Its not disrespect and lack of dignity. People in conservative states like Arizona collectively decide they don't want to overly restrict business and weaken worker protections. This is the result.
Don't complain that you're corporate employer isn't human enough for you. Complain to your overly conservative red state politicians. Because they wanted to favor corporate greed over your rights.
For those in California, enjoy the fruits of the unfriendly business environment we've created. Sure some businesses may flee or avoid us. But I've got an extra 11 weeks of pay out of this sh--.
@1wb - I agree, that's no way to treat an employee with dignity and respect. You would think that if they were going to do it in CA because that's the law, they would reciprocate and do it for the employees in OR and NM as well. But no, since it's not the law in OR or NM, they will do what they can get away with. Once again, it's time to unionize to protect the employees!
My state (not CA) only pays if an employer informs employees in writing at the time of hiring that unused vacation leave will be lost or forfeited upon termination. I don't remember reading this...but who knows.
Intel is claiming that they don't have to pay me for unused vacation.
