Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Can I ask all Indian colleagues whilst you are in western countries to wash their hands after going to the toilet

It's not enough to wipe your asswith your left hand and eat with your right. Thanks this is much appreciated!

@ufi

Same applies to europe back when they washed once a year, no bathrooms, no clean hospitals, no knowledge of medecine, ...

The dark ages if you read history is what it's called.

They had to go to middle east to the muslims for the beautiful bathrooms and hospitals.

Just like a dirty pig in an oasis.

You can read what their historians wrote about their experiences in middle east.

Then you know the rest how the europeans invaded middle east and stole their books, gold, plants, just like less than 100 years ago and now they and you claim to know what hygiene is ;)

@vpv

That indian washing feet might be a muslim preparing for a prayer. Muslims wash hands, mouth, nose, face, arms, wipe through hair, and feet three times each five times a day for the five daily prayers. It is actually not an act of washing to clean but sins committed by the parts they wash are wiped off as well.

Just FYI

@ufi. Thank you. Sure sounds like it. I am not an Indian. This post is sickening. I had assumed most people on this site were intellectuals that were here because of a broken system and that they shared a common pain as a result of a company's poor management and not to express racism and hatred toward another human race.

H@ll, I don't always wash my hands after 'go to the bathroom'. My weewee is clean, and it's always covered up when I am out and about.

Long time ago in the continent called Europe - the same stereotype and hatred was fanned against the Jews as being dirty and filthy by the vile Nazis. Looks like the remnants of the hate machine still walk around USA.

Count your blessings that they use the restroom. Many in India are so poor they have no such luxury.

Actually, my experience has been that they over wash their hands like someone with OCD.

I think this thread is misleading. I saw an Indian colleague in the San Diego building not only washing his hands in the rest room but also both of his foot. He does'nt wear socks so after washing his hands, he would pull his feet up to the sink and start washing them. Dude is flexible as hell. This is a true story and I'm not making this up.

Everyone at Intel has witnessed the H1B Indian worker exiting a stall then exiting the restroom without washing their hands. Anyone who says differently either never worked at Intel, is an H1B/Green Card Indian, or is a liar.

That's simply the facts. Indians don't wash their hands after using the restroom facilities.

Ok, let's be real for a second. This is a real cultural issue in America. It is not meant to offend, but in this country, Americans practice a hygiene that involves the washing of hands regularly, use of products to limit the spread of disease and bacteria, as well as overall genuine cleanliness. Unfortunately, when you are exposed to a large % of foreigners that bring their cultural methods to a public area! it does introduce significant risk to public health. The increase in contamination is real. If you come from that culture, you do develop an immunity to those contaminants, and may enjoy those smells or pungent odors. As with respect for any country and their customs, if you are in America, please respect the customs and practice hygiene that does not spread unwanted germs to others. Not only is it respectful, it also reduces loss time from work for those that end up getting sick repeatedly from the contamination

Why the heading of this forum is "Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs" ? Is it to discuss the sanitation in India ?

So there is a relationship :

Intel Layoff : Restrooms: Sanitation in India :)

Do some research , after layoff what a relief , isn't it ?

You don't have to spend a lot of time in a restroom to notice a person exiting a stall and walking out the exit door.

Look is not racism. The vast majority of our colleagues come from 3rd world countries. It's well know that sanitation in India is not universally up to the level of the rest of the world. All I'm asking is that we call people out who don't practice basic personal cleanliness independent of their color.The frequency of bouts of diarrhea I suffer is directly proportional to the number of Indians in my large open plan office - why should I have to suffer this public health issue when the solution is so simple?

In Malaysia, people like the smell. They like the food prepared by Indian after going to toilet. I have visited Malaysia a lot of times, and saw it with my own eyes.

These people will touch the food with their bare hand after going to toilet, and mind you they don't use toilet paper when going to toilet. Ask your Indian friends if you don't believe me.

Looks like @HZP has a fetish for restroom odor that he/she spends half their working time in the rest room pretending to watch the hygiene habits of Indians. Must be Janitorial Engineering is your calling? The plus point for that career path is that you will not have H1B competition in the US.

Funny Indians always have to - but the fat-sloths that use paper have no such compulsion.
