While I am no longer a Symantec employee, with Veritas Technologies now, my experience with Symantec has been very collaborative and positive. As an employee, my skills were appreciated and now as a contractor serving Symantec as a customer, I work with a talented and collaborative team. This surprises me.

My take is that is why the posting above stayed 15 years. Great benefits also. Springfield.
Total mess organizationally. Hey lets sit in meetings all dam day and not get on the phones and sell.

I love these people who post "the last 15 years were terrible". Really? Then why stay for 15 years? Obvious sour grapes. Honestly, do you realize how silly that sounds?
Exactly...the last 15 years at Symantec has been terrible. I have SO much knowledge in my years there but Symantec never updates their systems, so many work-arounds...they don't care about the workers...it's all about money is why I was laid off last year. India reps took over senior Customer Service positions that India reps know NOTHING about...all work-arounds. I feel sorry for the customers who get these folks to help them!!
WOW!, what company were you working for? and do you still have a job with Veritas? you obviously don't work in Springfield Oregon where they just decided to close Veritas and lay everybody off!
