Seems like 2014 hires had a disadvantage since they were considered new and managers tried to save long timers within their group.

hired in 2014, got ssl4. laid off. terrible terrible company .
"Hired in 2014 means you are at intel for all of 2015. Focal ratings for 2015 should not be affected by whether the employee was hired in 2014 or not, and should not automatically get SL4. Managers that did this fked up."
Of course they fked up, which is why this criterion for laying people off (and banning them from future employment) is so, unbelievably stupid on so many levels.
If nothing else, it exposes the flaws in the Focal process and the poor (and inconsistent) training that managers received.

Many of 2014 hires got ISP for this year's SSL4.. In know 4 of them.. Also know one of Feb 2014 hired got laid off last year (based on 11 months focal review). Manager wanted him to kick out as he applied online to other groups, and move to other group after 1 year period is up..Manger gave him CAP ;(
I was (Oct 2014) and was a manager.
My boss even told me that I received the SL4 for being "a new employee"
Just stupid but I'm much happier out of Intel!
Many new hires did not even know that ssl4 was performance related. I was told since I got x number of stocks coming in, I won't get more from focal budget.
