Wished my manager did that.
What, if the median shifts lower the 10 years is even a larger standard deviation then it was before.
And the standard deviation will change too, because it will be tighter.
The only wrench in the math are the long timers that get 3 one year and 2 the next
Which my managersp did that.
Doubt anybody will, get away with that.
Maybe management hasn't been culling the herd, but the way it stands it would have still taken good people out.
As it stands now. But, once all the VSP leave then the median will drop. So, your 10 yrs now becomes 8 maybe.
I think 10 years at 7 or 8 is a plateau
Looks like lot of speculation after ACT.
you could have hit a career plateau at 7 or 8 for majority of those who stick around
so next time this will mostly be something to watch out for
The median will change after this round. If you survive this round, make sure you check.
Can we ask HR what the standard deviation is for our grade level.
Because if I was HR after June 2 I would be a cut line ISP on 2sr dev and th n 1.5 and finally 1
Four years with ssl3 and satisfactory but in that fourth years you need EE/outstanding or a promotion to the next grade. sh--s about to get real folks. Get ready for internal competition like you've never seen before. I've thought about trying to build a coalition of people who think alike and who can all help protect each other (like on survivor) but I can't figure out a logical paradigm that would even work. The only thing that works in this focal system is every man for himself.
5 years
If you are grade 6 or 7 you are underpaid already. Intel wants to keep you there. Grade 6-7 do the bulk of the work while all the other big wigs sit in meetings and BS all day.
The idea is to keep the grade 6-7 scared, work longer hours and quiet ... Without the 6-7 there is no Intel
You are done. Forget it!
If you have to ask, it's too long already.
If you are a white guy the answer is 3 months.
Grade 6: Five years (TIG) with last 4 as SSL3 got a VSP.
Using a reduction system that uses TIG will hit older; higher grade employee at a higher percentage. It will hit "enough" younger employees to keep it semi defensible.
Or grade 8
The non-answer answer is 1 standard deviation over the median time
Yes being a smarta**
If you don't laugh you'll just cry
