Thread regarding DeVry Inc. layoffs

Shame

It is shameful the way this situation was handled. Many colleagues who have dedicated their lives to DeVry were impacted with the layoffs of the registrars and this new organizational change I mean old which is what we had when I first started with DeVry.

DeVry wonders why their engagement scores are so low when it comes to trust and they can 't turnaround. The big campuses continue to spend money on the backs of smaller campuses. You referenced DH how about JB he came from Cordon Blu and look what happen to them. Now he has the entire organizational chart reporting to him. Absolute disaster! This was a blessing! Now I can truly have work life balance.

My favorite part of the town hall was when Rob Paul (insincere bafoon) tried to motivate the remaining employees by stating that 'we need to make the next class for the people that just were let go'.

Seriously, we just saw our friends and coworkers have their hearts ripped out and lives changed! Is his head so in the sand that he does not realize that those remaining have loyalties to each other and the students not DeVry. This was hardly a time for a 'let's get one for the gipper' speech!

What is he thinking? What is the entire DVG Leadership thinking? I'm embarrassed to say that I work for DeVry.

I loved the part at yesterday's town hall where they admitted that they're not sure exactly how things will be done in the new model. They didn't think it through before terminating countless, long-time employees? If I still cared, that would have been infuriating. I'm glad I can just shake my head and laugh now.

And yet, the executive bonuses keep growing ever larger.

Nobody cares about the worker any more, really. And people are surprised when Sanders and Trump win big, serously, both of them have a similar message (when it comes to the worker) - I will stand up for you.

I've been here 11 years, it was great and the company cared - not any more - the whole thing was handled very poorly
