Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

We've heard how exJCP feel "We're just selling watch here"

They do not have the passion or drive for Fossil and they sure do not have the vision for this kind of business

Much like the issues with the Target gender identity scandal, Fossil has more than lost its way, it's lost it's identity. So much that they are really a lifestyle retail brand who actually thinks they're a tech company. It has abandoned its core values in not only why they started their business and niche in the market, but in its business strategy.

It's killed most of the major product businesses, it's now just a watchmaker to most consumers.

Like the Titanic, the ship will sink. Most of the people don't know and the leadership are in denial. The iceberg has struck, the ship has taken on water. Grab a lifeboat early and leave. Don't go down with the boat.

Some of us are still vested in Fossil.

Business feel that IT is so F*** Up now. Thanks Ed, Robert, Kristy, and the other exJCP crew. We need real IT people here with knowledge and experience

Fossil has been irrelevant for over a year now. They are not unique, cool or authentic but just an e-commerce cheap watch maker. Nobody has time for that. They will file bankruptcy in the next two years
