If you're good seems like you should have no problems getting a job. Thoughts? Anyone have troubles? How's the pay compared to Intel in Bay area?

go to Linkedin and find old friends and add them to your last then see where they work. Send them message informing them you are looking. They will put you in contact with hiring managers. It works folks.
I keep apllying but hardly anyone replies. I have a very good resume. It takes time!
I wouldn't restrict the search to just hardware and test. This is a real opportunity to look at other windows of opportunity.
