What a difference a year makes, it has been right at a year since the break up of the centralized credit department which occurred with the VERP of the VP. During the same time several key employees opted for the same and are now enjoying their lives away from NOV. The department was divided into the three segments and nothing has been right since the split. The biggest segment has had more than one director and they still can not find one that knows anything about the area of corporate credit. One recently got demoted because he was one of the good ole boys of the old system and doesn't know how to get out of a paper bag and the third director is still in place but is more worried about chasing skirts than he is about showing up to work and doing his job. Several key employees left with the 2nd VERP and two very knowledgable managers got laid off because they were actually trying to do a good job which required stepping on toes from time to time. Neither had a problem pointing out the shortcomings of their directors. Good employees were shipped to work in the plants with the blue collars. What is left is a bunch of uneducated, ill mannered and unmotivated people that do not care about the company that is crumbling in front of their eyes. How many good employees have to to be illuminated (one way or another) before this recklessness stops? This is a tale of one department a department I work close to but I thank God every day that I am not.

No doubt everyone can see the division of chiefs and Indians in the posts. Truly amazing that management turns their head and looks the other way when concerns are brought out. No doubt they got upset at the post but as the saying goes "the truth hurts". Why does management continue to try to defend themselves with childish replies when all it does as prove the point that was first brought to light? No doubt we know that the ones that have reacted the poorest are the ones that have the most to be concerned about, there is also no doubt as to who wrote the responses. Thanks again management team for failing to step up to the plate and failing to take the high road no doubt why you are thought so lowly of by your employees
Common shake my head. These managers work with some really stupid people and you are the perfect example. You complain about people getting ahead but dont point out that all the slackers need the experience the managers have but they also keep you idiots in line. If you knew what you were doing maybe you would get ahead but I agree. You should do yourself and us a favor and quite.
Shaking my head, really they actually let someone go that wasn't doing her job and replaced her with somebody with work ethic? Crap! I can't believe that they would actually let a manager go and give it to someone else who would do the damn job! You're right it is a crappy company. Maybe you should just go ahead and quit I'm sure one of those dumb s*** would take your resignation in a heartbeat.
My former manager, who by the way doesn't deserve that title because she didn't earn it. She has no previous management training or skills, no degree and extremely incompetent. She talks and behaves all ghetto but in front of her boss she puts on the good ole I'm sweet and innocent bullshit act. Oh and buys gifts for her boss and pretends to care about him.. Lol.. Cause as she says, "no one likes him." She got that manager position by cutting out the previous manager, lying, turning coworkers against each other, manipulating, backstabbing, cheating, pretending she knows something and having others vouche for her to get her into that position, oh and getting her friends to talk bad about the previous manager so she could move into his position. A real slob & control freak who can only survive by having others feed and stroke her big manly ego. Her narcissism and pride will be her downfall. A psycho bitch who enjoys bullying and abusing others and thinks she holds all power and control...., until karma comes back to bite ya! Lol

Old regime? What are you talking about? It's still here. Promotions are not based on hard work and experience they are handed out to ex machinists, bartenders and now contract credit clerks skip the whole process and become credit managers. Where was the job post so everyone had the chance to apply. People here for twenhy years werent offerd the chance. New people are promoted & the rest dont get any thing. Its all a game & based on who you know you can even get unlimited time off because of who you are and your manager will adjust your time card and dum schits like bar tenders & machinists and 'skirt chasers' run the place with women like Adrianna & Roseanne who dont know or do anything. I spent all these years here & seen it all and I thought it would get better but all of us being demoted thanks to the premature balding morron who hands out unecessary jobs to Andrea who acts like shes better than every one and now her daughter works there doing the same job as the girl they just laid off! And she gets better equipment then everyone else? Who says the old sorry regime is gone If you have been here a long time you can kiss his assI guess.
C'mon Disgruntled, you know they say that the ones who do the loudest complaining are usually the ones that are making up for their own weaknesses. And we both know that those laid off managers weren't worth a darn thing...one spent his time flirting with all the women and the other couldn't spell the word "nothing" so he acted it out. Girlfriend, please find a brain for that missing head of yours and do something worthwhile with yourself..I hear ISIS is looking for some target practice. And also, stop dumping your crp on people that don't deserve it. If you're unfamiliar with them, they're the ones actually hard at work. And you were right to "Thank God" because He is the only one merciful enough to listen to all your bulls*t. Maybe you need to get "illuminated" as well!!

NOV does not keep employees that exert their own opinions. You have to be a sheep!!!! That is why the Brits are safe.....they walk the straight and narrow line
