I got a wage cut but the company I contract to but they say they worked out a deal that if I take there course there offering and get there pipeline certificate i will get a wage increase back. So no in not doing cartwheels of joy but at leest a guy can count on that

I got told to send in my last year worth of invoices. Is this part of cutting wages?

I asked the recruiter I work for and he told me that transcanada were going to give a day rate increase to us to get it but now they changed there mind because they want to save money.
they told me a few weeks ago that tcpl will pay 100-150 a day more after i get the api training ticket
We all got that email from them guys too on getting a bump up on the rates for getting that course done and signing to them but call them up now and they say somebody changed there mind and don't want to pony up the bump no more!
Good for you, at least you're working. Those sorry people in Houston and Charleston that we just picked up are going to get the ax soon enough! Especially project controls and their management. What value do they add except nonsense and can't make decisions on anything! Hopefully the mass layoffs coming to CPG will save your jobs.
