I'm confused as to why some hard working, loyal employees were Layed off but others took their positions? Also, why are people getting a bonus, not to mention some getting raises? This sounds like politics to me. Someone wanted to have more control so they let some great guys go so they could get it. It's extremely sickening. They spent lots of time away from their families, turned down other jobs because they were truly loyal to this company. Guess this company wasn't near as loyal to them as they were to it. You let some great guys go. I hope the best for all of them.

It is pretty simple. The people making th decisions had no idea who the people they were releasing were, what they may have sacrificed or how loyal they may have been. It was all about money. Direct supervisors had no idea who was being let go until the decisions had been made. I was one of those people that was let go and I check in here about once every two weeks not to troll, but because I am curious about what is going on back at Devon. Devon we was very generous to me and I appreciate the bonus that was given to me on Friday. If you have to be let go from someplace Devon is the way to go.
