Doesn't matter whether you are laid off or not (because you can never count on it anyway) you can always do something on your own. Don't have to work full time . Just spend the weekend and extra hours on your own idea. It might take a longer than a group of people working for a startup full time but you can still do it if enough people work together. And we don't have much to loose anyway. If you want to join the movement reply here.

Murthy here! You might have signed a clause saying if you invent something at home with your own resources, and that is related related to Intel business. The rights belong to me! Areas you might try that Intel is not interested in are porn and illegal drugs. Happy inventing!
