The layoffs are/ may be company requirements for now based on business M&A etc. and hence revised needs to survive. But playing corporate politics and shaming and sacking so many respectable directors with unjustified reasons with some gossip mongers spreading rent less reasons defaming them is so unprofessional. And meanwhile in chaos some smart asess shuffling positions by promoting their favourites and depromoting the not 'not my types' kind of full fledged games are on. The person who still has the job needs to understand you are making your position weak too by only favouring the beauty over brain. Such unethical work culture that started sprouting after Nalin left and has become a giant consuming most. VMWARE Bangalore's office is getting into al wrong hands with cheap attitude. Management in US needs to take matters in their hand, instead of watching from far as though " it's your monkey in that's your circus". Please make approvals on your end for work performance based hike/ promotion/ demotion / sacking etc. then their will be hope and faith. It's your circus and these are your monkeys, please act now or monkeys s al tht would remain.

Its silly when you look at the org structure in some groups on Bangalore. At one point, there were no first line managers in one of the QE groups. All of management was already promoted to director or senior level.

and you don't understand to fix this, change has to start from the root. HQ is rotten and has let other branches rot. These Bangalore people, who have nothing better to do, are showing off their "pitty".
