Yup, it was terrible for the first year. And you realize that Intel and Intel senior management only care about the short term. You serve those needs and then you are expendable. This was not the case back in the 80s and 90s, when it took leadership and skill to manage it like it was when Andy Grove was at the helm. My advise to those that "made the cut" this time and still have a job, is to make plans to exit Intel on your own terms....do not wait to be cut and "get a package". It will not serve you in the long run.
