If most people that you work with are in their 60s, then your workplace doesnt sound age balanced. It doesnt sound like the Mckesson that i know. The Mckesson that i have come to know has a fairly diverse workforce; i have not come across an unbalanced department to date.

McKesson is "Laying Off" older employees and replacing them with younger contract employees. They can save alot of money, as these new contractors will work for a lot less, and McKesson does not have to provide any HR Benefits. Its a trend that is turning into an epidemic. Really sad what the work culture has evolved into. :-(
And head to where? A place where there is no age bias? ?The best way to keep your job, is to work to compete, to constantly improve. Yes, the game is harder to play as you move into your 40s. Age-bias and discrimination exists everywhere. And, yes, it does exist at McKesson..
Why do you say this? Most of the people I work with are in their 60's.
