You would think we were lepers from Old Testament times. I have messaged my contacts who are still at Devon. It is like I never existed. Not much response. Just trying to keep with friends. I'm not trying to pry information and I stay positive. However, It is like the execs put out some edict to have nothing to do with us. They put the fear of God in them.

No one actively makes contact" Since I left. When I call, they want to go to lunch, so I don't think anyone has been told that former employees should be treated like lepers. I know they have double the workload, but that's their problem, not mine anymore.
Really could care less if the current employees are having to work and have more stress.
That is weird I have kept in touch with most of the people I know at Devon. Had lunch with my supervisor and former co workers on a fairly regular basis. I don't think anything has been said to keep them from speaking with you. It could be they are working harder and maybe stressed out being at Devon.
I've had no problem keeping contact, but we keep it personal, and do not discuss Devon because there isn't really a reason to anymore.
Only a few people keep in touch w me. I quickly found out who my real friends were. "Outta site outta mind" Plus all the people are swamped w double the workload now.
Spring Office(Houston) in Texas will close May 05, 2016. Everybody will be gone.
It's a very common response to be ignored by former peers for a variety of reasons. The biggest is..they don't know who is watching and they feel contact might make them the next victim. Ignore them (they obviously were not the friends you thought they were) and move on. Life is too short to spend time thinking about those who don't reciprocate.
It is because of this site. They don't want to be one leaking something and get fired
