The last time Intel restructured like this was in 2006 when they gave up the smart phone market.

BK will get another 12 or 18 months to give it his best shot and if he continues to f--- things up, I suspect he'll still depart with a multimillion dollar exit package for giving it is very best shot
Here's a proposal Intel...I'll give it my best shot for the next 12-18 months, if I screw it up as much as BK does, I won't demand any options or some multi million dollar exit package fir giving it my best.
this is the #1 thing that pisses me off when executives like BK are given carte blance to "try their best to turn things around" yet still walk away multi millionaires leaving the hard working dedicated lifers out on the street.
Show some true leadership BK and some balls and make your salary $1 and that if you don't turn hit your 18 month goals, you'll forgo your golden parachute. I double dog dare you!
I love DB. Let her have have a shot at it!
Don't count Diane out. Stone cold career woman right there.
It's sink or swim for BK. Either he makes something happen in the next18 months or he's gone. He faces with a nearly impossible challenge. If I we're him, I would just do something totally risky and insane. He shouldn't be worried about career limiting moves at this point he should just go for it.
Did you ever consider that BK may be the hatchet man for all the bad things going on now, and SS is being set up to succeed him as the new savior? Two more years of similar results and BK will be "fired" and laughs all the way to the bank,
yep, Stacy Smith said he'd use CFO to leverage a promo, I wonder if BK will last as long as PSO?
Didn't Stacy Smith say he put all these guardrails in so that no more S.E.T. actions would be needed?
Definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and over and over again and expecting a different result
Only this time Andy Bryant is chairman of the board not CFO. What's good for Andy is good for the company.
